This is What “Antidisambiguation” Looks like

August 22, 2016 by Admin Leave a Comment

This article from Digital Trends describes how the “father of the internet”, Tim Berners-Lee, is trying to “de-centralize” the world-wide web, that is, take power back from a handful of companies who basically dominate huge portions of web activity and expropriate user’s personal data for their own private profits. This is the essence of “antidisambiguation,” a word […]

Just a quick sampling of some of the more invasive apparatuses of repression out there…   FBI and US Marshals stock up on radar which can see through walls. The product known as Range-R can detect movement — even breathing — through one-foot thick concrete and takes only seconds to scan a house. http://www.engadget.com/2015/01/23/fbi-us-marshals-range-r- Here is […]

Here’s another example of the fight taking shape between the old capitalist class and the emerging potentials of new technologies. Just a reminder: These are the days when the the old relations of production become fetters on the new productive forces. In order for these forces to fully develop, the fetters must burst.   From […]

Reactionary Forces

Reactionary forces are those forces in a society which seek to preserve the status quo or to return to a previous state of political economy and order. They are generally conservative and authoritarian and attempt to thwart progressive advances. During the time of social transition precipitated by the Rise of the Robots, we can be certain these […]

New Report Proves US Law Enforcement Preparing for Rioting on a National Scale

April 23, 2016 by Admin Leave a Comment

From theantimedia.org website: Claire Bernish April 22, 2016 (ANTIMEDIA) Fascism doesn’t often sweep in overnight and take over some hapless nation’s government; rather, it gradually seeps into the cultural fabric — as is quietly taking place all around the globe, evidenced by an upsurge in sales of riot equipment that has gone largely unnoticed. A […]

Something To Think About:

The capitalist or any other order of things may evidently break down - or economic and social evolution may outgrow it - and yet the socialist phoenix may fail to rise from the ashes. There may be chaos and, unless we define as socialism any non-chaotic alternative to capitalism, there are other possibilities.

Joseph A. Schumpeter, Capitalism, Socialism, and Democracy

We proceed from an actual economic fact.

The worker becomes all the poorer the more wealth he produces, the more his production increases in power and size. The worker becomes an ever cheaper commodity the more commodities he creates. The devaluation of the world of men is in direct proportion to the increasing value of the world of things. Labor produces not only commodities; it produces itself and the worker as a commodity – and this at the same rate at which it produces commodities in general.

- Economic and Philosophical Manuscripts of 1844. Karl Marx

The Sane Society

Man today is confronted with the most fundamental choice; not that between Capitalism and Communism, but that between robotism (of both the capitalist and communist variety), or Humanistic Communitarian Socialism. Most facts seem to indicate that he is choosing robotism, and that means, in the long run, insanity and destruction. But all these facts are not strong enough to destroy faith in man's reason, good will, and sanity. As long as we can think of other alternatives, we are not lost; as long as we can consult together and plan together, we can hope. But, indeed, the shadows are lengthening; the voices of insanity are becoming louder. We are in reach of achieving a state of humanity which corresponds to the vision of our great teachers; yet we are in danger of the destruction of all civilization, or of robotization.

- Erich Fromm, The Sane Society (1955)
