Reactionary forces are those forces in a society which seek to preserve the status quo or to return to a previous state of political economy and order. They are generally conservative and authoritarian and attempt to thwart progressive advances.

During the time of social transition precipitated by the Rise of the Robots, we can be certain these forces will rear up. Understanding their origins and motivations, as well as their tactics and strategies, will be of paramount importance in defeating them.

It is all but certain that the existing capitalist power structure will seek to retain its hegemony. But how? By what means? How will they manipulate the public into supporting these efforts? And why will a certain percentage of the public be eager to oblige?
